Interactive Conference Analytics Debut at Strata Santa Clara with Real-Time Sensor Network and Audience Feedback Technology
The Data Sensing Lab transformed the Strata Conference experience in February 2013 with an innovative 50-node sensor deployment throughout the Santa Clara venue. Conference attendees encountered a unique interactive element: prominent red buttons that invited feedback on session quality.
The lab’s exhibition booth became a hub of activity, featuring live sensor assembly, real-time 3D printing, and dynamic data visualization. Visitors could observe the complete pipeline from hardware creation to data insight, while learning about the upcoming O’Reilly publication that would make this technology accessible to a broader audience.
